What to Expect: Join Lance Mudgway (Mulloon Institute Hydrologist), Col Bowey (agronomist) and Warren Pensini (farmer) for a FREE field day at Blackwood Valley Beef on Tuesday, September 19!
Warren Pensini's approach to farming centres around soil health and catchment restoration, which is where his landscape rehydration work has been so critical in both regenerating the landscape and, in turn, the successful production of premium beef.
This event will offer a multidisciplinary, holistic approach to restoring local water cycles and enhancing productivity in the process. Over the course of the day, you'll witness firsthand how local water cycles, grazing management practices, perennial pastures, contour banks, and soil improvements can work together to create a productive landscape and overcome constraints like heavy metals and waterlogging.
