Are you a grower wanting to see what your soil is made of? If you have a basic understanding of soil health, come along to one of our Soil Microscopy workshops to learn how to:
- use and care for microscopes
- prepare soil samples,
- identify key soil microorganisms
- conduct a basic assessment of soil microbial health.
Identifying beneficial microbes and diagnosing soil health can boost yields, improve plant health, and reduce fertiliser inputs and losses. Healthy soil means nutrients can stay on your farm and out of our waterways, supporting local river and estuary health! Join your local catchment group to hear from Ellen Walker and the team from @EarthWhile Australia to begin your soil microscopy journey or refresh your knowledge.
