Invertebrate Management

Hosted by Perth NRM and RegenWA this webinar features Dr Lizzy Lowe. This webinar explores how invertebrates contribute many important ecological services which are essential for agriculture including pollination, nutrient cycling in soils and pest control and form an important element of natural capital on farms.

Dr Lizzy Lowe specialises in invertebrate management, with an interest in conserving biodiversity in human modified systems such as farms and cities. For the last three years Lizzy has been working in agricultural extension, helping farmers to sustainably manage pests. Recently, Lizzy has moved back to Perth (after 10 years living over east) and is excited to be starting a new role as a research fellow at ECU where she will be investigating the impacts of natural resource management on urban invertebrates and their ecosystem services.

This event was supported by Lotterywest and the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation through their Soil Wise Program. Soil Wise is funded by the National Landcare Program Smart Farms Small Grants – an Australian Government initiative. It is supported by Healthy Estuaries WA – a State Government program.
