Soil Care Workshop – Thornlie

Presented by EarthWhile Australia, this workshop will explore what lives in our soil, the importance of soil biology to ecosystem health, and the role soil restoration can play in our landcare projects.

Participants will...

  • identify the different types of soil microorganisms.
  • learn about the soil food web.
  • learn how to use microscopes and other techniques to assess what is living in our soil.
  • Discuss techniques for improving soil health.

 

This workshop is part of Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group's 'Learning Landcare' series.

 

The event is supported by the Community Bank Roleystone-Karragullen, and Perth NRM’s ‘Make Your Hectare Count!’ project, through funding from the Western Australian Government’s State NRM Program.
