EOI for Regenerative Farming Transition Workshops

This project is funded by the Western Australian Government’s State NRM Program.

Expressions of Interest are now open for “Regenerative Farming Transition Workshops”, which form part of our Accelerating Regenerative Agriculture Adoption project.

The Regenerative Farming Transition Workshop series aims to provide low-key, kitchen table conversations and paddock sessions for farmers interested in transitioning to regenerative practices. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from their peers (farmers who are already on the regenerative farming journey), as well as advisors/consultants, to share share challenges and successes, and collaborate on practical solutions for individual farm contexts.

‘Where to Start’ Workshops

Four workshops will be held across four different regions, capped at a total of 10 attendees per workshop, from up to five farming businesses. These workshops will facilitate a safe, collaborative, and highly practical environment for kitchen table and paddock-based conversation around where to start the regenerative agriculture journey. Participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from experienced regenerative farmers and qualified specialists, discuss challenges and successes, and work together on practical approaches tailored to individual farm contexts.

Follow-up Farm Visits

A half day of support from the consultant and/or farming mentor present at the ‘Where To Start’ workshops will be provided for up to five workshop participants, where more specific advice on transition steps suited to that particular property and business will be offered.

Group Check-ins

Following the initial workshops and subsequent farm visits, a check-in session will be offered to all participants. This will enable farmers involved in these activities to reconvene with their consultant and/or mentor and their fellow participants. This check-in provides an opportunity to exchange learnings and share setbacks and achievements, while creating a foundation for ongoing support and reassurance that challenges encountered are not being faced alone.

This EOI form is designed to gather interest from farmers who would like to participate in the workshop, in order to determine optimum locations, mentors, and topics. Workshops will be completely tailored to suit the enterprise types, locations, and goals of participants involved. Those who wish to join the workshops as mentors/advisors are also invited to complete the EOI.

Register your interest here, noting that locations and consultants/mentors will be carefully selected based on the preferences of those submitting EOIs.
